Who We Are

Who We Are

We are human rights nonprofit Organisation

Future Up Nations (FUN) was established and registered in  2022 with Reg No. 00NGO/R/3199 as a nonprofit &  national NGO bridging the digital and social divide. We merge advanced technology with a human rights backbone. Our mandate is clear: to protect, educate, and empower children, women, girls, youth, and people with special needs, transforming them into globally competitive “Planetary Citizens.”

In complete alignment with our legal Constitution, our work is firmly anchored in six foundational principles that ensure we build a future rooted in equity and absolute human dignity.

1. Human Dignity & Rights

We believe that every individual possesses inherent value and fundamental human rights that must be protected and actively nurtured.

  • In Practice: From our physical headquarters in Ibungiro Ward to our outreach programs, we treat every student, parent, and community member with profound respect. We design safe spaces like our After School Program to ensure youth can learn, grow, and create free from intimidation, exploitation, and systemic vulnerability.

2. Radical Inclusion & Equity

Per our constitutional mandate, we actively remove physical, social, and technological barriers for those who are historically marginalized or left behind.

  • In Practice: We deliberately focus our human rights backbone, hardware labs, and digital assets on elevating children, women, girls, youth, and people with special needs (disabilities). We fight the digital gender divide by providing safe tech access for girls and research localized assistive UI/UX configurations so that people of all abilities can thrive in the modern economy.

3. Purpose-Driven Innovation

We do not view technology as a luxury; we see it as an absolute equalizer. We choose to build smart, scalable, deep-tech solutions engineered precisely for resource-constrained environments.

  • In Practice: Rather than waiting for heavy grid infrastructure, our STEM & ICT Innovation Lab builds forward-looking, autonomous systems like Offline AI models and Data-Free Digital Libraries to bring the sum of human knowledge to unconnected rural communities.

4. Absolute Accountability & Transparency

We owe our communities, local governments, and global backers (Epic Africa, Team4Tech, UNODC) an uncompromising standard of legal, financial, and ethical clarity.

  • In Practice: FUN enforces a strict constitutional Dual-Signatory Bank Policy (Article 27). No single individual can access or distribute organization funds independently; all financial transactions require the verified authorization of two out of our three designated office bearers (Executive Director, Executive Secretary, and Treasurer), completely mitigating operational risk.

5. Sustainable Adaptation

Guided explicitly by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our educational and technical solutions are engineered to be self-sustaining and protective of local environments.

  • In Practice: From the foundational cognitive pathways shaped inside the FUN ECD School to environmental research (like low-resource atmospheric water extraction), we ensure our community infrastructure is resilient, long-lasting, and independent of fragile external supply chains.

6. Strategic Collaboration

True systemic change cannot happen in isolation. We actively merge high-level international engineering capacity with verified, on-the-ground technical execution.

  • In Practice: We co-create programs and scale frameworks alongside elite global pioneers like Google, Digital Promise, and the Ciena Solutions Challenge, seamlessly linking local Tanzanian innovators directly to the global digital landscape.
